24th Annual UBC Skin Research Day
The Department of Dermatology and Skin Science is committed to supporting the advancement of
research, scholarship and innovation for all members of our department. To facilitate the creation
of research-oriented culture, we focus a large amount of our attention towards offering
collaborative opportunities, open sharing of knowledge, and the development of core research skills
through workshops and networking sessions.
The 24ᵗʰ Annual UBC Skin Research Day will be taking place on Saturday, 2ⁿᵈ March, 2024. The
pandemic has brought forth new ways of hosting events and social interactions which allows us to
host this upcoming event in a hybrid format. Presenters will be in person, encouraging dynamic
interactions. The meeting will be web-cast, allowing faculty from the entire province to
participate. We will endeavor to keep this event as interactive and engaging as possible. In
keeping with tradition, we are expecting a broad audience of community and academic dermatologists,
residents, fellows, medical students, basic scientists, nurses and graduate students. The event
will feature both clinical and basic science research. The event is followed several weeks later by
a small workshop designed to promote interactivity and open avenues to novel research within the
Department.
